“The Utah and surrounding markets are strong and the long-term forecast is very positive,” said Mark Christison, general manager for Western States Equipment Company. Located in Salt Lake City, the company has been in business since 1995 and offers a wide range of rental products, including both large equipment and small tools, to commercial and industrial clients.
“The commercial construction sector is at a frenzy pace, with the new airport and prison consuming a lot of inventory,” he added. “The industrial sector is making a nice come back, as well, after a couple years of flat activity, but is still not where it was pre-crude oil crisis. All told, the mountain west region rental activity is healthy and the future is bright.”
Christison emphasized that Western States Equipment is committed to safety. “We have and extensive pre-employment safety training program as well as monthly safety meetings to discuss current safety issues. We also provide customers with operator training and certification on every class of machines we offer.
