GEHL offers mid-range compact track loaders (CTL) and skid steers for construction projects. Available at dealers throughout North America and manufactured in Madison, South Dakota, the lineup reflects a range of sizes and options that provide contractors with a powerful tool for material handling, attachment use and multi-purpose work.

Three GEHL skid steer loaders (the V210, V230 and the V275) and three new compact track loaders (the VT210, VT230 and VT275) deliver updates in safety and serviceability over previous GEHL skid steers and CTLs. These models are vertical lift and feature a new lift arm design for visibility. The operator experience has also been upgraded with an update on GEHL’s patented folding door — and the new cab offers visibility with a new window and roof design. Breakout forces and tank capacities are increased for long operating times — all with a focus on lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

Auxiliary hydraulics (both standard and high flow) have been upgraded and GEHL offers a full and expansive lineup of Manitou Group attachments to make these machines versatile.

IdealTrax and IdealAccess Door

The patented track-tensioning system tensions the track to the proper tension when the machine is started and relieves the tension when the machine is turned off.  Instead of greasing for proper tension every 50 hours or so, GEHL uses a hydraulic system to keep constant tension on the tracks. As this happens automatically, it takes less time to achieve proper tension. It also increases track life by up to 15 percent by keeping proper tension at all times and guarding against over tensioning. Over-tensioned tracks wear from the inside out and rob horsepower from the machine as it takes more effort to turn the track.

Each CTL features the optional GEHL IdealAccess door. This bi-folding door gives the operator more headroom and also allows operation with the door opened or closed.

 Vertical-lift Arm Design

GEHL skid steers and CTLs feature a vertical-lift, sloped-arm design that both offers visibility and reduces the amount of material that gathers on the arms, as well as allows for all hydraulic lines to be routed in or under the arms for protection. GEHL has transitioned these mid-range models to a vertical lift arm design, which provides reach at dump height to dump close to the center of the truck being loaded – while also supporting rear visibility thanks to the elimination of rear towers.

Breakout and lifting forces have been improved compared to the previous GEHL models and the manufacturer has increased fuel tank size throughout the line to allow for extended runtimes. Additional features include keyless start, LED lighting and a patented Pilot joystick system that moves with the seat.

A large, one-piece cab gives the operator 23 percent more space in the cab than previous models. A large foot area also enables control of the standard foot throttle. Standard ride control lift-arm cushioning and an optimized undercarriage provides a smooth ride. Each machine also features a new 7-in. display that is larger than previous models, while also making operating information accessible.
