In 2014, New York, N.Y., exceeded $20 billion in commercial construction. Dallas and Houston were close behind with $11.1 billion in commercial construction projects. Other U.S. cities experiencing a commercial construction boom last year included Los Angeles and Miami which both exceeded $6 billion in commercial construction projects. The country is also starting to see large infrastructure projects in rapidly growing areas, including the I-4 project in Florida.
