Smart Helmet combines a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an array of cameras that see 360 degrees around the user, an industrial inertial measurement unit, and high-definition depth sensor. Upgraded sensors and cameras are said to be capable of providing enough high-quality data to quickly build 3D models of project sites for quality control and reporting. A company spokesman says they will roll out limited software development kits in the last quarter of 2015, and be in production by the second quarter of 2016. Entry-level cost, with software development, should be in the $20,000 to $25,000 range. www.daqri.com
