Fame Rental has announced four new partnerships to integrate into the FameAir platform: Avalara, EBizCharge, Rouse, and SmartEquip. They plan to highlight each of the partnerships at the American Rental Association's The ARA Show 2025. The ARA Show is scheduled for January 30 to February 1, located in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees at ARA 2025 can visit Fame Rental at booth 5628 to learn more about the new partnerships and integrations.

“Our partnerships with these industry-leading solutions providers help transform and enhance the FameAir user experience,” says Joe Lewis, CEO of Fame Rental. “If not properly integrated, software interfaces lead to data silos, which then lead to poor business decisions. With Avalara for tax compliance, EBizCharge for secure payments, Rouse for market insights, and SmartEquip for parts ordering properly integrated into the FameAir platform, a rental business can utilize best-practice solutions and still have all the information it needs in one place. Most importantly, these are the tools a business needs to succeed.”

According to the announcement:

Avalara sales tax compliance automation software solutions leverage more than 1,200 signed partner integrations across leading e-commerce, ERP, and other billing systems to power tax calculations, document management, sales tax return filing, and sales tax content access. With a focus on saving time and reducing errors, integrating Avalara’s capabilities into the FameAir platform helps move users toward a future where sales tax management is no longer a burden but a strategic business advantage.

EBizCharge integrates seamlessly with more than 100 accounting, ERP, CRM, and shopping cart systems. Its integration into the FameAir platform will help users safely and securely automate the billing process and better manage all aspects of customer credit card payments. It is PCI compliant and allows Fame to keep multiple cards on file and apply a specific card to a specific contract. All invoicing, including cycle billing, auto-charges to the customer’s credit card. If there are any issues in the charging process, the system will alert the user to resolve the issue with the customer.

Rouse Services, LLC provides rental companies and dealers with data on equipment utilization and comprehensive benchmarks for rental rates, market share comparisons, and other key performance metrics to help them make better business decisions to stay competitive.

Though Fame has “pushed” data to Rouse for several years, there is a new Rouse Rental Insights data feature available inside the Fame platform. FameAir users can now access benchmarking data directly within the Rental Quoting process, which allows for critical pricing decisions and adjustments to be made in real time. This helps ensure fewer lost sales due to price, maximum revenues on successful sales, and a healthier bottom line.

SmartEquip is an industry-standard technology for equipment lifecycle management, service, and procurement support in the construction industry. SmartEquip’s integration into the FameAir dashboard helps reduce the challenges many rental companies face when maintaining their equipment fleets. SmartEquip’s business-to-business productivity and parts procurement platform features a single log-in that allows users to identify needed parts for equipment repairs and create purchase orders.

The FameAir/SmartEquip integration provides an end-to-end, seamless process for technicians to identify the right part, select it into a cart, request the parts needed (in-stock inventory is taken into account), create a purchase order and send it to the Fame platform for approval. FameAir then notifies SmartEquip to issue or reject the PO. This process helps eliminate order errors, increase efficiency, save money, and improve technician “wrench time.”

Managing equipment lifecycles and ensuring uptime, tracking usage, scheduling maintenance, and optimizing inventory can be incredibly complex, confusing, and time-consuming for any rental businesses,” says Lewis. "When Fame customers sign up for SmartEquip and integrate FameAir into their procurement platform, they can identify and access the product support and parts information they need, including checking inventory levels and updating their purchase and work orders efficiently."

“We are excited to support Fame Rental customers with our integration partnership,” says Mike Kendall, vice president of operations at SmartEquip, Inc., an RB Global, Inc. company. “Our goal is to make equipment rental businesses more efficient, and being able to extend our platform to their customers is a win-win for everyone.”
