Caterpillar expanded its Home and Outdoor Power product line with the INV2000, a new portable inverter generator that Cat says produces 12.5% more running watts (1,800 watts) than leading competitors. With 2,250 watts starting, the 49-lb. generator can power camping essentials as well as small to mid-sized power tools. Caterpillar will also offer a parallel kit, enabling users to connect two INV2000 units together to double power output.
- Less than 3% total harmonic distortion to safely power sensitive electronics
- Noise levels of 52 to 61 dB are competitive in the product category
- Unique LED illumination of the control panel eases night operation
- Two GFCI 120V 20A outlets
- Two built-in USB charging ports
- 12V battery charging outlet, for automotive style batteries
- 80 cc overhead valve engine runs 6 hours at 50% load on a tank of fuel
The INV2000 will be available in CSA, CARB and EPA models for purchase mid-December 2017 at select retailers throughout the United States and Canada.
