Makita has expanded its Diamond Blades offerings for use with battery-powered grinders and power cutters. Features include a thin kerf and redesigned cutting surfaces deliver cutting speeds, more cuts per charge and blade life.

Makita has expanded the line of Diamond Blades, offering pro concrete and masonry users more accessory solutions when tackling cutting applications,” said Austin Donoghue, senior associate product manager, Makita U.S.A, Inc. “The blades are optimized for use with battery-powered tools offering faster cutting speeds, more cuts per charge, and longer blade life.”

The new products include 4-1/2-, 5-, 7-, 9-, 12- and 14-in. blades to be used with various tools including grinders and power cutters. The range in sizes will allow users to perform cutting tasks in a variety of materials including masonry, block, roof tiles, pavers, reinforced concrete and more.

The new line of Diamond Blades is offered in three separate segments:

  • Ultra-Thin Kerf Blades are available in 4 1/2, 5, 7, 9, 12 and 14 in. Blades are designed for use with battery power tools offering reduced motor drag. Cutting edges feature Turbo U-Notches that eject dust.
  • Segmented Turbo Blades are available in 4-1/2,- 5- and 7-in. blade sizes. Blades feature turbo groove segments that reduce friction.
  • All-Cut Blades are available in 14 in. Blades feature a Turbo M-Notch to remove material and an Undercut Segment for durability. The blades also feature a bond matrix which supports cutting a variety of materials.
