Florida and Texas had the highest construction salaries in Q1 2014 followed by North Carolina, California, Arizona and Georgia.
A new report from human resources services provider TriNet shows construction salaries nationwide averaged $45,417 for the first quarter of 2014 - $16 less than 2013. According to the report, construction workers in Florida and Texas received the highest salaries.
While a separate study declares women are underrepresented in construction jobs, the TriNet study says that women who work in the industry face a very small salary gap compared to their male colleagues. The industry's salary gap is 92 percent compared to the 83 percent average for most industries.
