ISN has released the Toolbox Talks feature in the Empower mobile app. Powered by AI, Empower can generate more than 200 available toolbox talks, conversation points, overviews, safety tips, quizzes and information from regulatory websites such as OSHA.gov. This allows users to tailor professional toolbox talks to meet the needs of their specific jobsite and workforce.
"The traditional jobsite ‘toolbox talk’ is as powerful today as it has been for decades in helping to keep crews informed and workers safe,” said Marie Anderson, executive vice president at ISN. “But now with Toolbox Talks on the ISN Empower app, we are enhancing just how impactful these conversations can be and helping companies meet relevant regulatory requirements, increase efficiency on their sites and ultimately ensure that workers return home safely to their families."
Toolbox Talks features dozens of topics for users to search including Fall Protection, Safe Use of Ladders, Overhead Power Line, Forklift Operation Safety Tips, Lead Exposure Prevention and more. Safety managers can leverage Toolbox Talks to review the risks on site that day, as well as provide health and safety updates to the team.
"We created the Empower app with a mission to truly empower contract workers by removing obstacles in accessing, understanding and meeting safety and compliance requirements before they set foot on a jobsite,” said Mike Reazin, vice president at ISN. “We’re hearing consistently from our Hiring Clients and contractor customers how simple and convenient the app has made it to ensure protocol is met, allowing them to focus on the job at hand."
One ISN contractor customer who used the Empower app is Life Line Technologies, LLC. based in Louisiana. The company uses Empower to address any gaps in worker qualifications and to provide employees with access to training from their phone.
“One of my employees called me at 3 a.m. because he scanned red at the jobsite and was turned away at the gate. I told him about the Empower app, and he was able to complete his trainings in time for the crew change. No delays,” said Brian Regan, operations, HSE and education manager at Life Line Technologies.
