The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) will hold its second national "Contractors Environmental Conference: Compliant. Competitive. Cost-Effective." in early June 2013, in Crystal City, Va. The association is extending the invite to submit a proposal for a compelling educational presentation on environmental issues geared towards construction professionals.

Members of the AGC Environmental Forum Steering Committee have suggested a few potential conference topics in the Call for Presentations and Proposal Guidelines; however, it welcomes proposals for presentations on the breadth of environmental topics that affect the construction industry - from green buildings, roads and other infrastructure to compliance with environmental legal requirements. AGC is also looking for presentations on general best management practices, such as environmental ethics and leadership development for environmental professionals. Recognizing today’s challenging market, sessions should support the dual objectives of helping participants meet environmental requirements efficiently and hone their competitiveness in the marketplace.

How to submit a proposal

Please read the Call for Presentations and Proposal Guidelines for complete information on how to submit your presentation proposal. Proposals are due by December 15, 2012. AGC has developed an easy-to-use online form to help with the submittal process.

Interested presenters can contact Crystal Yates at [email protected] for questions on submitting presentation proposals. For questions related to the subjects to be covered at the conference and general conference information, please contact Melinda Tomaino at [email protected].
