Ammann ARS 110.2 Single-drum Roller Leads the Way for Sustainable Paving

The ARS 110.2 is designed to minimize emissions and reliance on oil, helping contractors meet sustainability goals on the jobsite. Powered by a diesel engine, the 102-hp machine features a smooth drum (optional padfoot shell kit).

“The new roller requires 17% less engine oil and 5% less hydraulic oil than the previous generation of machines. Both acquisition and disposal costs are lowered. These are savings that go directly to the business owner’s bottom line.” - Radek Remeš from Ammann

Ammann’s new 11-ton single-drum roller offers increased compaction power for asphalt projects.

The new ARS 110.2 T1 is equipped with a powerful and reliable Cummins 4BT3.9 diesel engine. No engine after-treatment (EAT) is required – one of many efforts to simplify service and maintenance.

The compactor reflects Ammann’s ECOdrop philosophy, which makes products more environmentally friendly – and profitable, too. ECOdrop focuses on reduced fuel and fluids.

ARS 110.2 Features

Lasts three working shifts without re-fuelling

The vibratory system is placed in an oil bath with a self-lubricated mechanism and additional water cooling

The drum, with a thickness of 25 mm (0.98 in.), lasts for the life of the machine

The engine compartment is accessible, with a design that protects all major components during operation

All maintenance and servicing points can be reached from the ground

Compaction Performance

The new Ammann ARS 110.2 can be placed in the 11- or 12-ton machine weight category. An additional weight increase kit (+1 ton) is available to achieve a higher operating weight and static load.

The roller’s compaction power is designed for mid- and large-scale projects such as roads/highways and industrial zones.

Engine power output is 76 kW (102 hp) and can run on high-sulphur fuels. The powerful engine and high-pressure hydraulic system provide excellent traction and compaction effectiveness.

The robust, four-bearing vibratory system hosts a two-stage vibratory system, which generates eccentric forces of 275 kN at low frequency (32 Hz) and 160 kN at high frequency (35 Hz). High value of both amplitudes (1,9 mm high amplitude and 0,85 mm low amplitude) ensures consistent compaction throughout the depth of the layer.

Drums

A smooth drum is standard. Available as an option is a Padfoot shell kit that introduces tamping into the compaction process for use on cohesive soils.

The ARS 110.2 drums are designed and manufactured in-house. They have a working width of 2130mm (83.9 inches).

Operator First

The ergonomic operator platform is fully insulated from vibration. It prevents most of the vibration from reaching the body and arms of the driver.

The cab version is quiet and offers a wide range of advanced technical solutions that improve safety and comfort. There is 1x1m visibility in all directions to enable safe operation.

The steering column with integrated dashboard is intuitive. It provides all the necessary status information for accurate machine control and operation. All the switches needed for control are located on the dashboard and the right armrest.
