Renewable Lubricants

Renewable Lubricants has introduced Bio-Process Oils, a family of blended, refined biosynthetic base oils (Biobased) that are sustainable for use as release agents in asphalt paving applications where runoff is a consideration. The product's low volatility increases the flash and fire safety features and there are no VOCs), making Bio-Process Oils safe for employees.

They are available in viscosity grades (SUS) of 50, 70, 100, 150 and 200, catering to a range of applications, climates and preferences. Stabilized to resist oxidation and provide light color stability, they are odorless and chlorine- and sulfur-free. The solution provides compatibility with elastomers, mineral and synthetic oils and provide lubricity.

The products are available in 1-gallon containers, 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums, 275- and 330-gallon totes and bulk, from the Hartville, OH factory.  Bio-Process Oils are biodegradable, renewable and fire resistant, as well as EPA and ISO 1400 compliant. Without VOCs, they are safe and have low toxicity.

In addition to paving applications, non-toxic, Food Grade Bio-Process Oils exceed U.S. FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3620 (b and c) for use as canning oils, dust suppressants, paper defoamers, in adhesives, rubber articles and as a surface lubricant for food packaging and caning. They also function as processing aids and extender oils in rubber compounding.

Incorporating the high viscosity index of the Stabilized High Oleic Base Stocks (HOBS) into the formula increases the viscosity index past systemic levels (Energy Conserving Formulas), providing thermal shear stability and load capacity.

Renewable Lubricants developed the stringent IsoGreen filtration standard which meets or exceeds the Rexroth pump guidelines for hydraulic fluids. Non-toxic, zinc-free formulations contain no heavy metals. In addition to supporting performance, Bio-Process Oils help companies achieve their sustainability goals.

With patented antioxidants (Stabilized), these biosynthetics provide performance in oxidation stability over standard plant/vegetable/HETG and unsaturated HEES type fluids. They are inhibited against moisture and rusting in both fresh and sea water, as well as pass A and B sequences of the ASTM D-665 Turbine Oil Rust Test.

Formulated to provide long seal life with reduced oil leakage, this environmentally friendly, zinc-free product is designed for vane, piston and gear-type pumps and have shown anti-wear performance in ASTM D-4172 Four Ball Wear Test. The anti-wear performance meets and exceeds requirements for Vickers M-2950-S (35VQ-25) and I-286-S (V-104C), Rexroth, U.S. Steel 126, 136 and 127 and DIN51524 Part 2.
